Day 4/5 Microfracture recovery update

Yesterday, I spent the day watching football.  It was nice to have that as a distraction from sitting around all day in boredom because instead of boredom I had football. I woke up at 730, I can never seem to sleep in past that anyway. My wife, who has been nothing short of extraordinary, helped me get up, dress, pee pee poo poo, and made breakfast-- mmmmpancakesmmmm . Then I spent the morning tinkering my lineups on Draftkings, I felt pretty good about them- always do.  I guess it was a pretty uneventful day, sat on the couch consuming sports, ate whatever my wife fed me. The only issue we have is that our bathrooms are both I on the upstairs floor, so for me to use them I would have to crutch up and down the steps. Crutching has gotten easier but the stairs are still the scariest part, even if things have gone relatively uneventfully. My wife, being an RN, has access to disposable urinals which she empties and rinses for me. That has been a gamechanger.  Today (day 5), ...

Day 3- Microfracture Update

Pain level: Meh Annoyance level and feeling of uselessness: through the roof. I am hitting the unfortunate realization that my defining moment each day will be going downstairs in the late morning and then upstairs in the early evening. Having serious doubt as to how I can manage this for a full six weeks. You don't realize how difficult things are until you realize that the charger that is laying on the floor on the other side of the couch is a bitch to get to. Passing the time should be a little bit easier today-- it's Saturday. College Football will be on, already watched the Man City match this morning, but most of my time will be spent playing some DraftKings line-ups for tomorrow's games. My wife calls it tinkering. She watches me plug and play different lineups to see which game correlation is best. She cracks on me when I watch Youtube videos of other guys tinkering. But honestly, it's the easiest way for me to pass time. Plus, you know, a million dollars would ...

This is all over the place.

Blogs are very 2008--which is why I have finally joined the bandwagon here in 2020. I am often late to the bandwagon (see: Bitcoin going to the moon and me joining pretty much right before it normalized). But that's for another day. Today is an introduction.  My name is Sanjeev. Most of my friends call me Sanj. My wife calls me "babe." Yuck . But I love it. There really isn't anything about me that is exceptional. Honestly, unless you are related to me in someway I can't fathom why you would even be here. I wouldn't even want to read my own blog to be fair, but I'm not writing this for any other reason beyond boredom. I'm bored because an accident I was involved in caused be to break off some cartilage in my knee. If that doesn't sound very enticing, it's because it is decidedly not so.  Loose bodies. That's what they call the little pieces of cartilage. They float around the knee wreaking havoc-- causing swelling, audible clicking, pain. W...
